Journal History

al Kimiya: Jurnal Ilmu Kimia dan Terapan began publication in June 2014 under the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science and Technology, UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung, Indonesia.

The journal's early publishing history includes issues in Volumes 1–4 that were not consistently available online through December 2017. From June 2018, the journal strengthened its commitment to regular, accessible online scholarly publication.

The journal publishes two issues annually (June and December) and develops its editorial practices to support transparent peer review, research integrity, open access, and the publication of original contributions to pure and applied chemistry.

A past collaboration with the Joint Conference on Research in Chemistry and Chemical Education (JCRCCE) provided a pathway for selected chemistry research to be considered for publication. Such selections are subject to the journal's editorial and review standards; conference participation alone does not confer publication rights.
