References Management
The journal expects accurate, complete, and verifiable bibliographic references that directly support the content of submitted manuscripts. Authors should prioritize relevant primary research publications and include foundational studies when necessary to establish scientific context.
Citation Standards
- Use the citation and bibliography format specified in the current journal manuscript template consistently throughout the submission.
- Include complete names or properly formatted author details, article or book titles as required by the adopted style, publication sources, year, volume, pages or article number, and persistent identifiers such as DOI where available.
- Cite underlying chemical methods, validated analytical procedures, datasets, software, and relevant previous research.
- Avoid citation padding, irrelevant self-citation, excessive citation to the target journal, fabricated references, and unverified AI-generated citations.
- Ensure that every reference in the bibliography is cited in the text and that every in-text citation has a corresponding reference entry, except where the selected style explicitly permits an exception.
Recommended Tools
Authors may use Mendeley, Zotero, EndNote, or comparable reference managers. Reference-management software does not remove the author's responsibility to verify accuracy, relevance, and the accessibility of every cited source.
The final bibliographic style and any required reference file can be obtained from the journal's current Author Guidelines page.
